Changes to Snowmobile Laws Wanted

March 11th, 2008 · No Comments

Following the death of a popular Chicago newscaster, there has been a massive public desire for changes to the snowmobile laws.

Not only are the snowmobiles frequently operated in an unsafe manner but there are numerous signs and advertisements that direct operators to bars and taverns. This creates a deadly combination of speed, alcohol, and snowmobiling.

A recent proposal advocates linking penalties incurred while snowmobiling to a driver’s license penalties. This would put Wisconsin’s snowmobile laws on par with those of Michigan and Minnesota.

If you have been injured in a snowmobile accident, contact the Rhinelander personal injury lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier, S.C. at 1-800-369-5990 to discuss your case and to schedule an initial consultation.
