Deputy Hurt By Passing Truck’s Loose Ramp

February 12th, 2008 · No Comments

Richard Marini, a Sheriff’s Deputy in Coos County, New Hampshire, suffered minor injuries after a loose loading ramp on a passing tractor-trailer hit the side of his patrol car. The driver of the tractor-trailer, who was heading the opposite direction on Route 2, had failed to properly secure the ramp. The incident, which occurred early Tuesday morning at approximately 2:30 AM, caused Marini’s car to run off the road and into a snowbank. He was treated for minor injuries and released. The driver of the truck was unhurt, but was cited for the safety violation. His name was not released.
